It's official...

It's official... I am a mom! How do I know this? Is it because I change about 15 diapers a day? Or because I can look at my sweet little baby sleeping? or hear her crying- a lot I might add? How do I KNOW that I am a mom? It is because when I looked at myself at 4:00pm today this was the vision staring back at me:
crazy, unplucked eyebrows, a pajama top adorned with a wet slobbery collar, a milk stain on the top, along with a toothpaste stain on the bottom of the shirt, frizzy hair that had not seen a chi iron in days, a stomach pooch still sticking out to say hello, vertical striped pajama bottoms that did nothing for my postpartum rear end, and very tired, red eyes. I looked like the classic mom on TLC's "What Not to Wear." I almost expect Stacy and Clinton to come around the corner at any minute. So I decided at that moment that I would try to get it together- maybe at least change clothes and put on makeup everyday before Scott came home. I also tell myself that I would start working out IF Hollyn takes a nap in her crib. So what did I do right after I saw this mom staring back at me? I went and ate a brownie!

This is Greg, nice job! I am impressed. Um, you have to have more comments and have to have more people pump this thing up to your friends. Waco must be behind the bloggy bloggerton curve.

Welcome! Official MomLand is a crazy, wonderful place. ;)

Hollyn is PRECIOUS!!! And I love the name.

Thank you for your comment on the JFK blog. I plan to make it a post if you don't mind.

Get back to bloggin' when you can. I know it can be hard when you have a little one...or even a couple big ones. LOL But to be able to look back and have this journal is priceless.

Take care!

it's nearly 4 years since Cambry's been born and I still find that same image with different stains staring back at me! Today was one of those days. But at least I did go work out.
