I Know You Prayed!

This is a picture from about 3 months ago, it gives me inspiration!

Let me start by saying a few of you may be bored for the next few posts... and I don't want to hear any "I told you so" :-)

We started the whole crying it out last night. I began crying at minute 7! She was going nuts in that crib. I know that I had several friends and family praying for little Hollyn at that exact time. I know the Lord has millions of things that are bigger than our little situation, but the amazing and awesome thing about Him is that He cares about these kinds of situations too. Hollyn stopped crying after ONLY 30 minutes!!! If you have seen her in action over the past 7 months, you know that is only described as a miracle from the Lord! I know it isn't the Red Sea- but it was from Him- I know it! I literally went in the bathroom, started jumping up and down and the first song that popped in my mind is an old one, "God is so Good." She woke at 3:15am and I did feed her a little (I felt bad about stopping that cold turkey) then put her down to cry. This time it lasted for 50 minutes. However, towards the end it was a calm cry and she would stop and then start again. Again, miracle from the Lord. We still have many issues when it comes to naps, but I think I will wait a few days to tackle that. We are going to continue to do this with going to bed and middle of the night for now. Hopefully moving the bed time earlier than 10:00 very soon. Thank you friends! Again, for some of you reading this I know you are thinking and why is this such a big deal? I can't really explain it...

It's a huge deal for a mother and I'm glad you're sharing your heart. I got on just now, because I've been thinking about you since yesterday. I'm so proud of you, because I could never really follow through with Creighton, and once she gets the hang of things, the whole struggle will have been worth it. Keep it up and keep us updated!

I am so glad that the first night went so well! We finally, at 10 months, had to do this with Hudson. I couldn't bear it, so Ronny stayed in the guest room next door to Hudson's and I stayed in my room without a monitor across the house. The first night was a little more than an hour... the second night the same... the third night just a couple of wakings for about 10 minutes and on night 4... he slept all night long!! You can do it- the end result is worth it, especially since the first night went so well!! Still praying for rest for your family. I understand all too well!!
