Seriously??

We had a busy weekend, filled with three birthday parties for one year old boys! Hollyn and I were on the way home from the second party. As I pulled into our driveway, she began SCREAMING, "No, No, No, out dere, out dere!" I turned to look at the crazy child. She is pointing to the street! I calmly asked her, "Are you telling me that you want to drive around in the neighborhood?" Hollyn replied, "O-Tay!" "O-Tay!" And the crying stops!

Now let's back up, in case you have forgotten. This is the child that began SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS when she was placed in her carseat for the very first time and every time after that for months. This is the child that SCREAMS BLOODY MURDER on road trips, to the point that no one will ride with you! This is the child that FREAKED out and CHOKED and SCREAMED so that I would not go ANYWHERE by myself for the first 6 months of her life!!!! This is the child who THREW AN ENORMOUS SCREAMING fit just one week ago, to the point that I almost drove her to the doctor because I thought something was wrong with her.

And now she is throwing a mad, crazy fit because she wants to stay in her car seat and drive around???!!!!!

So, I drove the stinker around the block! She sang and laughed the whole time!!!!!!!!!! She also pulled this stunt with us the very next day when we came home from the second party. I think her goal in life is to always stay one step ahead of me! And I think she is winning!!

I realized I had not taken pictures of her in a long time, so we went outside for a little photo shoot. It started to rain, so I couldn't get many good shots. She started out by not looking at me or smiling. (She was still mad because it was right after the second time I made her come home!) These are the first two shots I got....
I thought this was sweet, and an awesome hair day!

Isn't this is face of an angel, that never throws a fit?

Now here is how the rest of the photo shoot went. These are the faces that she made whenever I would ask her to smile...

Is she seriously only 17 months old??? It looks like a long, exciting journey awaits me!
