Preschool, Here She Comes!

Hollyn had her first day of 3 year old preschool on Friday!!! I wasn't sure how she would do since she has not ever done well away from me. We started talking about it over a year ago. I often would drive her by her school and tell her about it. I got lots of older friends to tell her how fun preschool was, Nana bought us a Pottery Barn backpack, etc. etc. etc. I prayed for her so much going into that first day. I just wanted her "to be anxious about nothing..." and to have a happy first day. With the help of her melatonin, we were able to get her to sleep by 9:30! Even though she was awake from 3am to 4am, she woke up in an excellent mood. God answered all my prayers for her on her first day. She had a wonderful day! She was in the best mood when I picked her up. I am just hoping that this little bit of independence each week will help her make some great transitions this year. I am hoping that it carries over into her sleeping habits and everything. I was SO thrilled to see her be so confident on her very first day of Preschool. I was a bit proud of myself too because I did not shed one single tear...until I sat in the pick-up line to pick her up!
"Watch out world, here I come!!!!"

Hollyn, I am so proud of you and the big girl that you are becoming this year! I can't wait to see how you learn and grow this school year! I love you!

I'm so excited to hear she did well for y'all and for her. I hope this gives her the confidence she needs and y'all the assurance and peace you need. She looks adorable in that outfit. Yeah for you taking her to preschool. I know it probably took a lot of consideration and prayer! I hope she continues to do well and flourish in this new setting. Love ya!

What a DOLL!! I just adore her curls, I know they are probably a pain to fix, but they sure are beautiful. I'm so glad her first day at preschool went so well. And what a wonderful God we serve, He cares enough to help a 3 year old not be anxious at school. He is so GOOD!
